Health & Safety on Site

Here at UK Demolition & Construction in Gloucester we take Health & Safety on and off site very seriously.

Sometimes Health & Safety can be a contentious area, and other times it needs to be based upon common sense.

Here is a common problem we receive and we now leave it up to our staff and contractors to decide what they feel is best.

We have recently been asked by some of our subcontractors if we allow shorts to be worn on site on hot days.

Although we do not insist long trousers are worn, wearing long trousers does have benefits that include, protection from the sun, protection from materials that might irritate the skin (i.e. cement) and also can help protect in certain instances.

We always follow the H&S legislation, and work hard to make sure our sites are the safest places possible to work.
